Kyobo Handwriting 2025
Kyobo Handwriting 2025 Yi Yu-bin (교보 손글씨 2025 이유빈) is a beautiful free-to-download Korean handwriting font. It was born from one of Korea’s most beloved annual traditions. Kyobo Bookstore — the country’s largest bookseller — runs the Kyobo Handwriting Contest (교보손글씨대회) each year, inviting everyday people to transcribe a passage from a book in their own hand. The winner’s handwriting is then painstakingly digitized into a typeface and released to the public, free of charge. This year’s font captures the handwriting of Yi Yu-bin, took the top prize in the general category at the 11th contest.
Her handwriting was modest and neat without being sterile. The letterforms feel genuinely human, carrying the quiet warmth of someone who writes slowly and with care. This is an ideal font for short-form emotional writing — diary-style captions, greeting card text, quote graphics, or anywhere you want a handwritten feel that doesn’t feel performative. It works just as naturally on mobile screens as it does on print, and it carries enough restraint to function well in longer body text too.
