KoPubWorld Batang
KoPubWorld Batang is a serif unicode font designed by Fontrix, with sponsorship from Korea’s government (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and published by the Korea Publishers Society. The creation of this font is to be used as digital typeface especially for digital publishing like e-books, and it was made free of charge in 2011, with the goals of strengthening e-book content production by publishers and revitalizing the e-book market. It was then renamed as KoPubWorld Batang from KoPub Batang in 2019, to reflect its richness in multilingual support, where it supports not only Korean, but also Japanese, Greek, Cyrillic, Extended Latin, Hebrew, Arabic and Sanskrit.
KopubWorld Batang comes with three weights: Light, Medium and Bold, to satisfy the need for different weights for screen reading. Despite its designed for digital screens, it works well in printed materials too. You can download this font for free and be used on personal and commercial projects.

To download, visit the link above and scroll down slightly to see the dark gray section below with two white buttons. Those are the download buttons and you can choose either the TTF or the OTF version. Use the browser translation tool to make it easier for you. Inside the zip package, you will find both the Batang (serif) and the Dotum (Gothic) version. Once installed, you will be able to select this font under the name “KoPubWorldBatang” in your design or writing tools.
