Hada Batang

Hada Batang (하다 바탕) is a free Korean batang (Myeongjo/serif) font from Hada Type, made for long body text. Hada Type made 8 font families and Hada Batang is the family’s reading face: the one you use for long articles, essays, and printed pages where comfort over many paragraphs matters more than personality. Its design choices serve that goal quietly. Regular and Bold are drawn from one skeleton, so the letterforms don’t shift noticeably when you switch to bold for emphasis. The vertical metrics are balanced too, with equal space above the cap height and below the baseline inside the line box, which keeps line spacing even and predictable in paragraphs.
Hada Batang comes with the nifty two weights: Regular for the body text, and Bold for titles and highlights. It supports the Hangul, Latin, numerals and symbols, and comes with TTF, OTF and web font format for you to download. You can even use it right away on your website as it’s hosted on a CDN. You can use this font for free and be used on commercial projects, as it’s released under SIL Open Font License.
