Jeju Doldam

Jeju Doldam (제주돌담체) is a free Korean display font developed and released by EarlyFont. The name literally translate to “Jeju Stone Wall Font”, drawing its inspiration directly from the iconic dry-stone walls (basically the word “doldam”) of Jeju Island – the rugged, loosely-stacked volcanic rock walls that crisscross the island’s landscape and are famous for their wind-channeling gaps that allow fierce ocean gusts to pass through without toppling them. The designer, Abby H. drew inspiration when staying on Jeju Island for a month, designed this font that embodies the bold, rugged and slightly irregular aesthetic, just like the stone wall itself.
With its irregular shapes and thickness of the letters, it gives a sense of raw and organic nature, imperfect yet full of character. Besides that, it gives a sense of hand-drawn feel as well. This makes this font a great choice for eye-catchy display titles, posters, brand assets and more. It supports both Korean and Latin script, and you can download this font for free and be used on commercial projects.
