Round and Round
Round and Round (or Dunggeul Dunggeul Che (둥글둥글체)) is a charming Korean handwriting font created by teenage designer Kim Gyu-ri as part of the 2025 Youth Design Production Specialist Group, a youth programme run by the Seoul Youth Media Centre (Ssro.net). The font was developed in collaboration with T-Lab, a company specialising in font production and research. True to its name — “dunggeul dunggeul” being a Korean expression for something soft and round — the typeface was born from a simple, heartfelt motivation: the designer just really loves round things, and so she made them. Every stroke carries that youthful sensibility, with soft, rounded edges and a warm handwritten feel that is naturally cute and approachable. Although one thing I want to mention is that the letter spacings are pretty wide, so you might find this font’s characters are quite spaced out.
Tagged as a headline and handwriting font, it works well for titles, captions, social media graphics, and any content that calls for a friendly, playful Korean typeface. The font covers 2,350 Hangul characters and 94 Latin characters, making it suitable for most Korean-language design projects. It is available as a single Bold weight in TTF format, under the file name Round and Round Bold.
